"Difficult" is subjective. Especially in this type of game in which knowing how to, or NOT to build your toon is the diference between decimating mobs and bossed in nightmare without even having to heal, and not even being able to beat the 2nd easiest difficulty without help from a buddy.

Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath are really no "easier" than Diablo. They use a slightly different formula though with a mana pool instead of cool down times. But t...

I'm so sick of this whole subject. Anyone saying Diablo can't, won't, or needs any reinventing to work on consoles is a complete idiot. No offense, but that's just how it is. And as a huge fan of this genre, and someone that always has been, I think the "Diablo" type games work better and are more fun to play on consoles.

People have short and very biased memories. This type of game.....the dungeon crawling RPG was working well on consoles before it ...

DAMN IT!!!!

when is this friggin' game coming to consoles?! I'm so sick of waiting and there's not even a hint at a date yet. I hardly even watch wrasslin' anymore and I havn't bought a wrasslin' game since Smackdown on PS1. But this is one of my most anticipated releases this year for some reason.

A developer can't really ask a console to be as open as a PC for obvious reasons. But when it comes to "openess" I think PS3 is about as open as one could hope a console to be. And I do wish all console developers had that open state of mind for their platforms that Sony had. It seems to me that the only thing Sony ISN'T open to on their platform is piracy.

And really EPIC should be the very first developer singing the praises of Sony's openess. Everyone...

There are VERY few PS1 classics I think are worth actually spending money on. But there are a select few I have bought and would buy just to be able to have them on my PSP and my Vita when I buy one once PS1 games can be put on the device.

The ones I've bought have been every Final Fantasy, GEX, Mega Man 1, 2 and 3, RE1 Director's Cut and Star Wars Dark Forces.

Diablo would be a FANTASTIC addition and I'd buy it day 1. Having that on my PSP or pre...

Yea, I would never expect to get that high in the rankings. As of now my highest spot is in the 300s and the rest are around the 1000 area. But that was last night, I'm sure I'm lower on all of them by now.

But that's fine. I know I'd never be able to qualify for the show. It's time based, and I don't have a steering wheel, so I've got no chance. So I'm not in it for the times, as long as I clear the events with all Gold to get the free new DLC...

G4's ratings.....and therefore money, are at an all-time low. Have they said they're even doing their typical all day/multi-day coverage this year? I certainly hope so, but I'd be a bit surprised.

Just like Spike's coverage last year, they probably won't really overlap too much with G4, at least not with the press conferences. If they are both running the conferences against each other, I'll watch whichever has less commercials.

Gonna ...

I'm a thrifty gamer, because I'm usually broke the last few years. My gaming cash is very limited every year. And I'm also a gamer that is typically against subscription gaming and services,,,,,maybe that's due to how broke I am, idk.....but I just hate the idea of subscribing to things. I'm also an old-school gamer. Been gaming since the Atari days. I also used to be the kind of gamer who said "I will never buy DLC or digital content I don't really own".

I think these people on the internet complaining about the MP because it's going to take away from the campaign length aren't actually God of War fans. If any of them are GoW fans they REALLY aren't paying attention. I think they're mostly just random internet gamers, not GoW fans, that just want to complain about struff because that's what random internet people do.

Any God of War fan that's paying attention the game's they're playing can tell...

I bought PS3 for one game. Of course I bought it at launch and that game was Monster Hunter 3........Thanks Capcom.

But since then I've had some of the most amazing gaming experiences in my gaming life, which dates back to the Atari days. So everything worked out............aside from the Monster Hunter thing. Have I thanked Capcom for that yet?

Most people's hate for Capcom is new and based around DLC/money.....mine runs MUCH deeper.

Right. I'm an admitted Sony fanboy (in that I'm loyal to the brand, I don't find anything wrong with brand loyalty. If someone takes that loyalty to idiot levels that's because they are an idiot, not because they are brand loyal), and Sony fanboys were never bashers of Super Smash Bros. Just like you pointed out, Sony loyal have been asking for a Sony Smash Bros since the PS2 days.

The people who bash Super Smash Bros has always been the fighting game fanboys....

I actually wish they'd get even SLIGHTLY more like SSB in that I wish PS All Stars used life bars......depending on the mode of course. It makes it more competetive IMO. If they had a mode with life bars, it would be the most popular mode, and would likely be the mode serious competitions would use.

As for 3rd party characters, I think some are going to be OBVIOUS and I actually think there's going to be a **** load of them, not just a couple 3rd party guests.

Good post OutsideoftheBox. I agree with you. In fact, if this game is good....who knows......maybe next gen we'll see one of the most amazing cross-overs ever. Super Smash Bros. VS PlayStation All-Stars : The Brawl for it All. LOL

I think his argument makes perfect sense. Especially when you consider the fact that Super Smash Bros and now this game.....the "brawler" genre.....which really is completely diferent from the "fighting game" genre, are FAR more akin to 2-D platformers than fighting games. These "brawlers" are in essence just "VS. Platformers". You're playing in a small, confined platforming level.....basically trying to "jump on the proverbial head" of an...

First of all....everything is a rip-off of everything at this point. There are no more.....or at least VERY few, completely original ideas (in fiction) at this point. And you really just have to call it "an homage" if anyone starts talking "rip-off".

The fact is, it's shocking to me that a Super Smash Bros clone hasn't already been made YEARS ago by some random 3rd party or indie dev with tons of random characters no1 has ever heard of or cares abo...

While I 100% agree with you wintersun, that SSB was not the first brawler. I believe powerstone was before the first SSB (though I may very well be wrong there. And even if I am wrong, the point still stands that there have been casual brawlers before Super Smash Bros.

That being said though, I do believe Nintendo invented the concept with the ORIGINAL Mario Bros in arcades. You know.....the one that was just Mario vs Luigi on 3-tier levels jumping on each other's heads. ...

I slightly disagree. I think BioWare could still do absolutely amazing things. Especially with EA money backing them up. I think the major problem with Dragon Age 2 compared to DA:O was PERFECTLY stated in this article.

"Dragon Age followed Mass Effect off a cliff."

I played ME1. Honestly, it's RPG elements were pretty decent, and had good writing at some points. But really ME1 has to be one of the most boring, dragged out games I've EVER pl...

Yeah. Thank the gaming Gods for ATLUS this gen. They've published some real gems. They've been a real boon for gamers who enjoy different and quirky, but still high quality games. Games that probably would have never seen the light of day outside of Japan without ATLUS.

But I'm not liking (because it's not made clear) what they mention about the price. "Unfortunately we can't sell it for $40 because of profitability" (paraphrasing). Well......whi...

I understand, but kinda disagree. I love single player and multi-player games both. And while I do think there are games that have multi-player that don't need it, and I don't think every game needs multi-player. I really do think there are alot of games that currently DON'T have multi-player, that would actually be better WITH it.

Also alot of those games I think that about, are games that when multi-player being added gets brought up, most people online come wi...

I know everyone seems to think it's a God of War game. And I understand why people are thinking that. But what I'm personally seeing in these 2 teaser images sticks out like a sore thumb to me. And that's alot of the stylising around the images are actually flowing lockes of LONG red hair.

I think it's going to be a sequel to Heavenly Sword. And the key words in the teasers would also perfectly fit if that were the case.

It could certainly be ...
